Our next destination: San Diego. We wanted to go all the way South for two reasons: first of all because we wanted to have travelled the entire N-S distance of the USA and second, because we wanted to go surfing and you need some good weather for that.
South California apparently is not very nice to drive: everyone is totally crazy. They drive way too fast, contrary to the rest of the USA where most people keep nicely to their speed. The highway police doesn’t even bother to pull car’s over that are ‘only’ 10 miles over the speed limit. Furthermore the drivers are very impatient. The slightest thing you do to annoy them ends up with angry faces, fingers and loud honking. Even when you’re in a traffic jam and nobody’s able to do anything, some people find reason to start honking. Like that’s gonna help.
