Plan for today: drive past Malibu beach and afterwards take The 1 (Highway 1) close to San Francisco. We had this vision of Malibu, but it really wasn’t worth the detour. We hadn’t really noticed we had passed it until we noticed we were 15 miles ahead and hitting the next big city…
Hwy 1 is a beautiful scenic route. It’s passing next to the ocean all the way through California. Of course we could only enjoy half of it, as it’s getting dark around 5PM here. But sunsets are especially nice around here.
