Another day spent driving along Hwy 1. The road was really nice – scenic views, nice beaches, big waves, rocks and redwood trees, but for some reason we had imagined that we would be able to reach Redwood National Park by noon. Ha! We reached the South border after nightfall…
As we had to change our plans and shift Redwood National Monument to the next day, we had some extra time to enjoy our route. So we stopped at a sign which said ‘Drive-Thru Tree Park’. Basically it was one huge tree in which a big whole was cut to pass a normal car under. And the tree was still alive. Kind of wrong actually, but we learned that later.
