North Cascades National Park

National Parks are built and managed so nicely in the US, both for cars and hikers: nice roads that fit so nicely with the landscape, safe access to spectacular viewpoints, facilities, visitor centers, ... We could experience that again today. On our way through the park, we saw a couple nice cascades, stopped at a couple of great viewpoints (one over a huge lake) and did a small hike to Ross Dam (not that super). One of the cascades was quite spectacular. Not because of its size – though it was very high, but because the bridge that hat been constructed to view it: it was this huge raster you could see through to the bottom of the valley... so scary!

For the evening, we had planned to meet up with Alyshia for dinner at the Tea Pot: a vegan Asian place, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm (says Ann), mm-mm (says Kevin).
